Putting your child at the heart of learning

myON by Renaissance

Reading is the key that opens doors to other worlds. myON, by Renaissance, offers a personalised and exciting digital experience of reading. For the duration of the school closures in the UK,  free access has been granted. The resource will literally bring a library of over 7,000 books into a home, for students of all ages and abilities to enjoy. It also provides 5 daily news articles (all vetted by child psychologists). The platform is extremely ‘pupil friendly’, with books and articles appearing ‘Netflix’ style. It is highly interactive and supportive, offering inbuilt functions such as, ‘search’, ‘read aloud’ and a dictionary for easy reference.

Access myON … but before you do, BEP’s lead Reading Consultant, Jayne Welsh has put together a step by step guide to myON and how to access all that it offers, in both video and PDF format, for staff and pupils in all Birmingham schools.  Both can be viewed below.
